Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced C++ Developer with strong expertise in modern C++ development, Linux systems, distributed messaging, and embedded communication technologies. The ideal candidate should have strong problem-solving abilities and hands-on experience building and supporting production-grade software systems.

Job Title: C++ Developer
Location: Foster City, CA

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, debug, and maintain high-quality software components using modern C++.
• Work on large-scale production codebases and contribute to backend and distributed systems.
• Develop and support publish/subscribe messaging infrastructure.
• Work with serialization technologies and data communication frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements and develop technical solutions.
• Debug complex software issues and contribute to system reliability and performance improvements.
• Follow software development best practices, including version control and collaborative development workflows.
• Clearly communicate technical approaches, assumptions, and solutions during collaborative problem-solving discussions.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Strong expertise in modern C++ development on Linux systems.
• Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, Pub/Sub architecture, and topic partitioning.
• Hands-on experience with Protocol Buffers (Protobuf) and related serialization technologies.
• Experience with Data Distribution Service (DDS).
• Good understanding of embedded systems.
• Knowledge of communication protocols including Ethernet and CAN.
• Experience working with large-scale codebases and Git-based version control workflows.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to explain technical decisions and approaches clearly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
