Job Description

Seeking a qualified Industrial Hygienist to provide Bioenvironmental Engineering and occupational health support at Hill AFB, UT. The position will support industrial hygiene surveys, exposure assessments, occupational health surveillance, and workplace safety initiatives.

The selected candidate will help evaluate workplace hazards, document exposure data, and provide recommendations to support occupational health and safety compliance.

• Perform a full range of industrial hygiene and occupational health duties.
• Conduct health risk assessments focused on chemical exposures and physical hazards.
• Perform routine and special industrial hygiene surveys, including:
  • Noise monitoring
  • Industrial ventilation assessments
  • Personal air sampling
• Document worker exposure data and provide appropriate control recommendations.
• Maintain and manage industrial hygiene data in DOEHRS (Defense Occupational and Environmental Health Readiness System).
• Prepare written reports, correspondence, and survey documentation.
• Utilize standard office and medical equipment.
• Communicate effectively with medical staff, leadership, and administrative personnel.
• Maintain compliance with applicable Privacy Act, HIPAA, FOIA, and other regulatory requirements.

Candidates should have one of the following educational backgrounds:

• Bioenvironmental Engineering / Occupational Health
• Bachelor's degree with a major in Industrial Hygiene
• Biomedical Engineering
• Public Health with a concentration in Environmental & Occupational Health
• Master's degree in Occupational Health - Industrial Hygiene

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of industrial hygiene experience.
• Relevant internships combined with a bachelor's degree may satisfy the experience requirement.
• Strong knowledge of industrial hygiene concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.

This is an in-person position supporting occupational health and industrial hygiene operations at Hill AFB.
