Position: BI & Geospatial Analyst

Job Description:
Design and implement the Atlas's dashboards, maps, charts, tables, filters and geospatial analysis capabilities using State-approved BI/GIS tooling. The role must translate rural-health indicators into intuitive, accessible and analytically sound visual experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Develop configurable dashboards, maps, charts, tables, rankings, indicator tiles and drill-down experiences.
Implement geography filters across city, county, region, State, Tribal trust lands and user-defined/partial geographies where applicable.
Create choropleth and layered-map experiences with pan/zoom/hover interactions.
Support trend, regression, correlation and multi-dataset comparison displays with the Public Health/Data Governance Lead.
Implement PNG graphic and CSV raw-data downloads and approved embedding/sharing.
Apply row-/role-level security and public/restricted presentation rules.
Support small-cell suppression and analytically appropriate visualization of sensitive data.
Integrate curated data models and semantic layers with BI/GIS tools.
Participate in usability, accessibility, performance and UAT testing.
Document visualization standards and reusable dashboard patterns.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of BI/data visualization experience and demonstrable GIS/geospatial analytics experience.
Strong skills in at least one major BI platform (Power BI strongly relevant; Tableau/MicroStrategy experience useful) plus Esri/ArcGIS or equivalent GIS tooling.
Experience creating interactive maps, dashboards, filters, drill-down and downloadable outputs.
Strong SQL/data-model understanding and ability to work with curated/semantic datasets.
Understanding of data security and suppression/aggregation requirements for sensitive data.
Ability to translate stakeholder questions into clear visual designs.
Preferred Qualifications
Power BI row-level security, semantic models and embedded analytics.
Esri ArcGIS Enterprise/Online, feature layers, spatial joins and geographic overlays.
Public-health, epidemiology, Medicaid or social-determinants analytics.
Statistical visualization experience including trends/regression/correlation.
Accessibility-aware visualization design.
