In today’s competitive digital landscape, the difference between a successful product and a failed one often lies in the user experience. At Kavaliro, we understand that a UX/UI Designer is a strategic partner. You will work within a collaborative ecosystem, partnering with Product Managers to define the “why,” Stakeholders to understand the “what,” and Engineers to execute the “how.”
Your primary objective is to translate abstract business requirements into high-fidelity, interactive prototypes. You will be expected to advocate for the user at every stage of the development lifecycle, ensuring that every button, transition, and layout serves a distinct purpose.
You will lead the design process for both web and mobile platforms. This includes everything from initial discovery and whiteboarding sessions to the delivery of pixel-perfect assets. You will be responsible for creating:
User Flows: Mapping out the journey a user takes to complete a task.
Wireframes: Low-fidelity blueprints that prioritize structure over style.
High-Fidelity Prototypes: Interactive models that look and behave like the final product for testing and stakeholder approval.
Design decisions should never be made in a vacuum. You will conduct user research and usability testing to gather qualitative and quantitative data. By analyzing user behavior and feedback, you will iterate on your designs to remove friction points and improve overall satisfaction.
Consistency is king. You will help create and maintain comprehensive Design Systems and style guides. This involves building a library of reusable UI components (buttons, forms, navigation bars, etc.) that ensure a unified brand voice across all digital touchpoints and speed up the development process.
You will serve as a key communicator. You must be able to explain the “ROI of Design” to non-technical stakeholders while providing clear, documented specifications to developers. During the handoff process, you will work closely with the engineering team to ensure the final build matches the intended design vision and meets WCAG accessibility standards.
Kavaliro is looking for a designer who is equal parts analytical and creative. The successful candidate will possess a mix of technical proficiency and soft skills.
Professional Experience: Minimum of 3 years of dedicated experience in UX/UI or Product Design.
A Stellar Portfolio: We want to see your process. Your portfolio should showcase not just final screens, but the sketches, research, and iterations that led to those designs.
Tool Proficiency: Expert-level skills in industry-standard tools like Figma , Sketch , or Adobe XD .
UX Foundations: A deep understanding of information architecture, interaction design, and responsive design principles.
Communication: The ability to articulate the “why” behind your design choices and remain open to constructive feedback.
Technical Literacy: While you don’t need to code, a basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and React/Angular frameworks will help you design feasible components.
Agile Experience: Familiarity with Scrum or Agile environments, including participating in daily stand-ups and two-week sprints.
Industry Background: Previous experience in SaaS (Software as a Service) , enterprise-level software, or data-intensive applications.
Certification: Specialized certifications in Accessibility (WCAG) or general UX (Nielsen Norman Group, etc.) are highly regarded.
Kavaliro is more than just a staffing firm; we are a career partner. We pride ourselves on a “streamlined-yet-thorough” approach to recruitment. When you work with us, you aren’t just a resume in a database. We offer:

Application Requirements:

Portfolio Link: (Mandatory) Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.
Cover Letter: Briefly tell us about a design challenge you solved and how it impacted the user.
